Promoting A Business With Car Decals

Posted: 30 May 2011 02:47 AM PDT

Nowadays we live in a world in which if you don't advertise your business, you'll go bankrupt in no time. For those of you that are running on a tight budget but you need a little bit of marketing to advertise your business, one affordable way to expand your exposure would be through car decals. Choose a clever and catchy logo or motto, and the odds of you getting much more business should be good if you play your cards right.

You should know that there are two types of decals that you can apply on your car: those that "cling" on the vehicle and magnetic signs. In order to remove the first one you will have to use a heat gun, while for the second type things are a lot easier as you will be able to remove them at any time and install on other cars.

Both of them are equally popular as they can easily be installed on side or back windows, except for the magnetic ones which are limited to the sides of the car but they bring just as much exposure. Except for the catchy logo or motto we've mentioned in the first paragraph, you'll also have to include your website address. Why? Because if you're not on the Internet, you don't exist in the minds of the customers, regardless of the business that you do.

You have another way to advertise your business without having to spend a fortune. How? By using vehicle wraps. You probably saw lots of cars in your city "wearing" the company's logo, motto, some details about what they do, etc. You need to know that mobile advertising is considered to be the most efficient type of outdoor advertising and if you use the car a lot every day, imagine the exposure your business can get.

There are three types of wraps that you could use for your car: full vehicle wraps, partial vehicle wraps and cut vinyl graphics.

If you choose a full vehicle wrap, it will be installed to cover the sides of the car completely, along with the front and rear, while the roof is optional. Those that will wrap the roof of the car usually have a vehicle that is low-to-the-ground so that it can be seen. Some choose perforated material that can be installed on the back and side rear windows for a bigger advertising image.

Moving on, we find the partial vehicle wraps where the color pattern of the car's exterior is used as a part of the design. Usually, a partial wrap covers only 1/2 – 3/4 of the car. On some vehicles, you will see a cut vinyl graphic for the areas that hasn't been wrapped.

Lastly, cut vinyl graphics are not actually a "wrap" as they cover smaller sections of the car, consisting usually of words, images, phone numbers, websites, e-mail addresses, etc. If you are really on a very tight budget, this is the best option for you. However, keep in mind that if you decide to remove them from your vehicle, they might leave some "shadowing" or "fading" on the vehicle's original paint.

If you don't believe in the advertising power of these marketing techniques, maybe you'll believe the Transportation Advertising Council, who is a division of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America that in a recent study said that a typical vehicle wrap generates between 30,000 and 70,000 daily vehicle impressions.

Advertising on the budget? Can't find anything better than this.
